Lasagneria marks World Food Week
This week Lasagneria has joined other catering companies and restaurants in celebrating World Food Week.
Until the 30th June, Lasagneria owner Paolo Grazzini will be rustling up his much-loved signature dishes and encouraging people living in Norwich to sample traditional Italian cooking at its home-cooked best.
Each year World Food Week offers people in the UK a chance to try new foods from around the world, with the aim of opening people’s eyes to never before tasted flavours and recipes. Paolo Grazzini set up Lasagneria in order to bring good, hearty Italian cooking to Norwich, working with the freshest ingredients and following old family recipes.
Speaking at the start of World Food Week, Paolo Grazzini said: “This is the perfect opportunity to try authentic Italian cuisine. Many people think they know Italian cooking, but the food packaged as ready meals has none of the real taste of Italy. The dishes I cook and sell from my market stall are true to their roots and from the heart.
“I want people to sample the genuine taste of Italy this World Food Week. I’d love to see as many new faces as possible at Lasagneria, and hope I can demonstrate to people what good, honest Italian cooking should really look and taste like!”
Paolo Grazzini is originally from Tuscany, the culinary heart of Italy. The Lasagneria stall was set up in 2016, serving family recipes which have been crowd pleasers since the company was founded. In addition to serving pasta dishes for lunches and takeaways, Lasagneria often hosts more formal dinner events for small groups of customers.
World Food Week is an annual event, shining a light on UK-based companies and also educating people about international cuisine and food tourism. This year people are also being encouraged to nominate their favourite foods and chefs, by visiting the World Food Week website.
