Tandoor at the Chambers brings a taste of north India to World Food Week
The Tandoor at the Chambers, a north Indian restaurant in Essex’s Buckhurst Hill, is encouraging diners to embark on a culinary adventure following World Food Week, which runs this week until June 30.
The upmarket Queen's Road eatery is run by owners Vip and Manisha Bagga, who say: “World Food Week is a great opportunity to sample some different tastes you may not have experienced before.
“The week is a genuinely international affair, so the rich flavours of north Indian cuisine are a great place to start.”
Dishes at the restaurant are cooked by one of four highly qualified chefs, and the focus is on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. It’s open daily apart from Mondays, and there are two sittings on weekend evenings as well as takeaway and delivery services.
Tandoor dishes are perfected using high-quality cuts of meat which have been marinaded for 24 hours. Paneer, prawns, lamb shank, salmon and chicken are all on the menu, alongside an array of mouth-watering desserts, curries and side dishes, plus a selection of cocktails.
“We hope people throw themselves into World Food Week,” adds Vip. “And if you always have the same thing on our menu when you eat here or order from us, now’s your chance to experience something different. And we always have lots of choice so you can do just that.”
World Food Week urges people to reawaken their tastebuds by sampling a different dish each day of the week and posting it on social media with the hashtag #worldfood.
