Diva Marie-Claire Giraud increases vocal range through cutting-edge talking therapy technique – operatic debut at United Nations 18th May, New York
Empowered operatic singer of colour Marie-Claire Giraud will be reaching new heights in her vocal range at the United Nations Building in New York on May 18th, as part of the renowned Around the World Gala. Originally from Dominica, she was raised in the Bronx and trained in Rome, so her own colourful story has taken her around the world and to the top.
Marie-Claire’s soul-searching work with personal development consultant Kenny Mammarella-D’Cruz helped her free her voice and step into her authentic power through Kenny’s unique talking therapy, where Marie-Claire overcame personal obstacles and experienced a profound growth in her vocal range, enabling her to sing as a Lirico Spinto soprano.
New Yorker Marie-Claire heard of Kenny’s work during lockdown, and they agreed to a couple of online sessions. Kenny used Drs Hal and Sidra Stone’s voice dialogue technique to speak with different parts of Marie-Claire that were stuck in the past, held in her psyche, and needed to be reached and released though her breath, her body and, ultimately, the power of her voice.
Prior to meeting Kenny, Marie-Claire’s vocal reach was limited but its increase now allows her to sing opera at the highest level, breaking through past vulnerability and sending goose bumps through packed houses as she hits the notes that open hearts and touch souls.
