Local care business makes big impact in London regional awards

In-home care provider Visiting Angels is celebrating after being recognised for its exceptional performance over the last 12 months. Led by Managing Director Hammad Cheema, Visiting Angels in West London – a team that cares for people in the comfort of their own home – has been named the regional winners of the Franchise Business Award at the esteemed FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards 2024 in London.

The FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards celebrate the best small businesses across the length and breadth of the country. Against fierce competition, Hammad and his team stood out as winners of the London region, accepting their award at an afternoon tea hosted at the Walkie-Talkie building in the City of London this week.

“I’m thrilled to see our team’s dedication and hard work acknowledged with this award,” said Hammad. “It’s truly a testament to our collective commitment and belief in our mission. Since establishing Visiting Angels in West London four years ago, our resolve to elevate the standards of care provision in our community has remained steadfast. To have our ongoing work over the past year affirmed is something that will continue to drive us over the next 12 months and beyond.”

With a focus on personalised care, since 2020, Visiting Angels has earned a reputation for excellence – becoming a trusted service for families in need of in-home care across West London. For Hammad, he attributes Visiting Angels’ success to its ‘carer-centric’ approach that sets it apart by prioritising the wellbeing and needs of its caregivers.

“Winning this award wouldn’t have been possible without our team that is driven by raising the standards of care across the community,” added Hammad. “Since we launched, our priority has been to ensure our carers feel valued and protected, which in turn has resulted in high-quality care for our clients. As one of the regional winners, the Visiting Angels West London team has advanced to the FSB 2024 Awards UK Final, scheduled for May 9th in Blackpool.
