Oscar®-winning Director Steve McQueen's Small Axe Collection of Films Now Available Online

McAinsh Consulting is now be taking over publicity requests for Steve McQueen's award-winning collection of films SMALL AXE for the next two months (on behalf of its London based production company Turbine Studios). We’re delighted to join the team!

Small Axe has been described by many as a landmark moment in British television and its impact has been undeniable. As Director Steve McQueen said himself, the subject matter is "always relevant" and it is fantastic to see the show continue to inspire so many.

With this in mind, we’ve compiled a new media alert (see below) which includes the latest information on Small Axe; including exclusive behind the scenes features and the recent BAFTA Q&A with Steve McQueen and actors Micheal Ward, Rochenda Sandall and Steve Toussaint, cinematographer Shabier Kirchner and Executive Producer Tracey Scoffield.

With all five films available on iPlayer, those who had not previously had the chance to see them will now be able to enjoy the films as a collection to experience the full impact of McQueen’s voice.

If you have any questions or queries in regards to Small Axe, please contact us. We’d love to help you inform your readers/listeners and viewers of this award-winning series.

Many thanks,

SYNOPSIS:

Set between 1968 and 1982, these standalone stories celebrate courage and community. From a group of activists taking on a seemingly hopeless battle against police persecution, to a teenager experiencing a blues party full of dance, danger and romance, they’re a powerful reminder of how brave individuals can spark change. Small Axe delivers a message our divided world needs to hear: even the most marginalised voices can challenge the most powerful.
